Roy Norton, Consul General for Canada at Detroit, will discuss his role in championing a new international border bridge between Ontario and Michigan at a public talk hosted by Western University’s Faculty of Law.  
Norton presents A New Bridge to Michigan: Policy-making and Diplomacy ‘Outside the Box’on Monday, January 21 at 11:30 a.m. in the Moot Court Room, Josephine Spencer Niblett Law Building.  

As the Consul General of Canada at Detroit, Norton represents Canada in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky where he promotes Canadian interests in trade, investment, the environment, culture, academic relations and immigration services. 

Norton has also served as Minister (Congressional, Public and Intergovernmental Relations) at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for the Canadian government’s relations with the U.S. Congress.
