Western University’s Rotman Institute of Philosophy launches a new season of public lectures this week.

The Rotman Speaker Series and Neurophilosophy Speaker Series are free public lectures highlighting a broad range of philosophical study in contemporary science that are currently being addressed at the Institute or are of current significance globally.

The Neurophilosophy Speaker Series, in partnership with Western’s Brain and Mind Institute, will welcome William Bechtel of the University of California San Diego to present the season’s first lecture on September 19 titled, “Investigating Neural Representations: The Tale of Place Cells”.

Both the Rotman Speaker Series and Neurophilosophy Speaker Series will take place on Western’s campus, with some lectures streamed live online.
