Possible LTC delays starting Monday for Western community

Western University is notifying community members of possible delays to London Transit Commission (LTC) service, beginning Monday (December 9) morning.

Wharncliffe Road between Oxford Street and Saunby Street will be closed to LTC buses, vehicular traffic and pedestrians. This closure will cause LTC to detour Route #2 buses.

The Route #2 buses will be heading northbound on Wharncliffe Road, to westbound on Oxford Street, to northbound on Wonderland Road, to eastbound on Sarnia Road, to regular route.

An additional bus will be added to service the Essex/Hollywood/Cedar student housing area where Wharncliffe Road turns into Western Road. This bus will circle Cedar Street and back to Lambton Drive through the campus and back down Western Road for each trip.

Please be aware of possible delays in the LTC service due to this detour. Equally, plan your driving and walking trip to campus with this closure in mind. Using Richmond buses northbound from the core is an alternative.
