Western to brief media on new approach to Homecoming weekend

Western University is taking a fresh approach to its annual Homecoming celebrations this week as it welcomes alumni from across Canada and around the world.

Media are invited to attend a briefing this Thursday, September 24 at 10:30 a.m. where representatives from Western Alumni, Mustangs Football and the University Students’ Council (USC) will detail Western’s initiatives to bring more student and alumni celebrations to campus.

In addition to a wide variety of Alumni-inspired activities across campus, Western is teaming with the USC, Western Alumni and PremierLife to launch #HOCOonthehill – a full day of programming on Saturday, September 26 that starts at 9 a.m. with an electronic dance concert headlined by DVBBS, followed by the football game between the Western Mustangs and the Carleton Ravens at 1 p.m. Canadian rockers Our Lady Peace will headline an evening concert, along with Sloan and Coleman Hell.
