In what he has said will be his last Olympic Games, Usain Bolt’s goal of repeating his three gold medal-winning performances from each of the previous two Olympic Games may be in jeopardy.

The star sprinter was forced to withdraw from the 100-meter final of the Jamaican Olympic trials with a grade 1 hamstring tear last week.

Injuries in sport are not uncommon, but in an Olympic year their impact increases with the heightened global attention.

Experts from Western University’s Bone and Joint Institute are available prior to and during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio to provide commentary on a variety of ailments common to athletes participating in Summer Olympic events, including dislocations, tendon ruptures, fractures, ligament and muscle sprains and strains, and concussions.
