Fueled by the overarching theme of “Assisted Technology,” novel technologies designed and developed from start to finish by first-year Western Engineering students will be on display at the annual Design Showcase on Thursday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Great Hall, Somerville House.

The student teams – 96 in total – have developed technologies ranging from a fire alarm system with visual signaling for the hearing impaired to a Braille label maker. Another highlight includes the unveiling of “Rotating Cabinets 3000.”
