Western University’s Board of Governors today released an independent review of President Amit Chakma’s employment contract that was conducted by former Ontario Court of Appeals Judge, the Honourable Stephen Goudge.

The 20-page document examines the circumstances surrounding a payment Dr. Chakma received in 2014 in lieu of taking an administrative leave at the end of his first five-year term, as permitted by his employment contract. Mr. Goudge, who was engaged by the Board in April 2015, conducted interviews with 47 individuals, including University faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
