Western welcomes prospective students to campus open house

Western University will host an open house Saturday, March 10 to provide an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the university and tour the campus.

“Many students are now beginning to narrow down their post-secondary choices as decision time for many will be quickly approaching,” says Lori Gribbon, Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions. “The March Break Open House is a perfect way to find out what Western is really like and why we are known for providing the best student experience as the size of the event allows for meaningful and in depth conversations with current students, faculty and staff, and tours of our facilities and services.”

Undergraduate program sessions allow students to gain more information on the different faculties and areas of study at Western. Special presentations at the University Community Centre (UCC) Drop-In Centre will be given on Housing, Student Financial Services, Indigenous Services, and many other unique services Western has to offer.

Guests can explore Western’s beautiful campus on foot or, if they are interested in seeing our campus from corner to corner, by guided bus tour. Additional tours will be given of the residences and the Western Student Recreation Centre.

Gribbon estimates upwards of 4,500 to 5,000 people will attend the open house on Saturday. While most are from Ontario, some will be traveling from as far as Jamaica, Columbia, Tanzania, and Dubai.
