Climate change expert Lord Julian Hunt presents WindEEE public lecture

Lord Julian Hunt, one of the world’s foremost experts on climate change and climate modelling, visits Western University this week to deliver a free public lecture in support of the WindEEE (Engineering, Energy & Environment) Research Institute.

Currently serving as Professor Emeritus of the Climate Modelling Department of Earth Sciences and Honorary Professor of Mathematics at University College (London, U.K.), Hunt will present his lecture, titled “Meteorology, Climate Change and Wind Engineering,” on Wednesday, October 16 at 4:30 p.m. in Conron Hall.

Hunt is visiting London, Ontario this week as he is also participating in a one-day scientific symposium on Wednesday, joining WindEEE Research Institute Director Horia Hangan, Western Engineering Dean Andrew Hrymak and many other leading researchers, scientists and wind engineers from around the world.

Before joining UCL Professor Hunt was at the University of Cambridge, where he still holds honorary positions and is a Fellow of Trinity College. He maintains his links with Cambridge through his current role as Visiting Fellow of the Malaysian Commonwealth Studies Centre.
