Due to unprecedented and dangerous wind chill temperatures and blowing snow being forecast, Western University is cancelling classes for Monday evening and Tuesday.  The University will remain open and continue to provide services on campus.

Environment Canada says over the next 24 hours, cold brisk winds are expected to produce widespread dangerous wind chills of minus 30 to minus 35 beginning this evening. Wind chills can reach minus 35 to minus 40 overnight tonight and Tuesday morning.

Extreme caution is advised for people heading outdoors. If you must go out, dress in layers and cover as much exposed skin as possible as skin may freeze in less than five minutes.
