Western University is hosting its annual March Break Open House this weekend, providing future students, their families and friends, an opportunity to meet with award-winning faculty, staff and students and learn why Western offers the best student experience among Canadian universities.

“The spirit and pride that our entire community holds for Western will be on full display at the March Break Open House,” says Lori Gribbon, Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions. “Future students, their families and friends will see firsthand the accomplishments of our faculty, staff and students, which serve as prime examples of what can be achieved with a degree from Western.”

On Saturday, March 14 visitors to Western’s March Break Open House can attend various academic information sessions, mini lectures, lab demonstrations, displays, student panels, faculty tours and visit the drop-in centre in the University Community Centre.

Visitors can also speak with current students, faculty and staff representatives; take campus bus and walking tours; and tour select residences throughout the day. Special presentations will be held throughout the day including: Indigenous Services, Student Financial Services, Housing and Scholar’s Programs.

More than 5,000 people will attend the open house on Saturday. While most are from Ontario, students and family members have registered from other Canadian provinces and American states, including Michigan, New York, Connecticut, Washington, Oregon and Illinois, as well as the District of Columbia.
