Discovery Western celebrates 25th anniversary at summer camp

Discovery Western will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Friday as summer campers demonstrate their engineering projects to special guests, including London MP for North Centre Susan Truppe and a panel of judges.

As a not-for-profit organization run by Western Engineering and staffed by students, Discovery Western offers hands-on engineering and technology programs to youth in our local communities, including classroom workshops, PD Day camps, Saturday clubs and programming just for girls. In July and August, Discovery Western offers a summer day camp for children entering grades two through eight, where they complete experiments, design projects and outdoor activities.

Discovery Western is also a proud member of Actua, an organization that supports members located at universities and colleges across Canada in the delivery of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education outreach programming.
