Combining the best of academic learning and clinical education, the new building that houses the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing is unlike any other in Canada. It offers a suite of 16 beds where nursing students can build complex critical-thinking skills in a simulated hospital setting that includes computerized mannequins programmed to replicate almost any health ailment or situation. Research labs, student lounges and collaborative learning spaces help make this a facility where the next generation of nurses can achieve excellence.
We welcome Arthur and Sonia Labatt, long-time champions of health education at Western University, as they open this building which houses the nursing school named in their honour.
