On Friday, March 31, Western University, with London Health Sciences Foundation (LHSF) and The Kidney Foundation of Canada will announce a significant new investment in kidney research.
Chronic kidney disease affects one in 10 people and the global burden of kidney disease is projected to become the fifth most common cause of early death by 2040. Immediate action is needed to develop better and new life-saving solutions to address this looming crisis.
As Kidney Health Month comes to a close this week, media are invited to hear how Western and its partners are responding to this global call with a new investment in kidney research.
Please join us on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 1:45 p.m. at Conron Hall, University College, at Western University. There will be availability for media interviews after the announcement. Parking is available on campus for media attending the event.
