Media are invited to the grand opening of Odd Burger Corporation’s first on-campus location at Western University Community Centre Food Hub, on Monday, January 22.

The UCC Food Hub, the busiest food outlet on Western’s campus, will be the first to feature a 100 per cent plant-based eatery. The new Odd Burger outlet aligns with Western’s commitment to offering more plant-based food options on campus, including a recent move to 40 per cent plant-based menus in residence dining halls.

This partnership not only brings an exciting food experience to the Western community, but also represents another step towards Western’s sustainability goals.

“We are very excited to bring Odd Burger on campus and give our students a truly unique food experience. We see this partnership as an important step in making Western’s food offerings more sustainable, while also proving that plant-based food can be enjoyed by everyone,” said Colin Porter, Director of Hospitality Services at Western.

James McInnes, CEO and Co-Founder of Odd Burger, is also a proud Western grad.

“It’s such an amazing opportunity to now partner with Western and give so many future leaders the chance to experience delicious fast food that’s also better for the planet and animals,” he said.

Media are invited to attend the official ribbon cutting.
