A series of public lectures, launching this week, featuring faculty members from Western University’s Psychology Department will examine how human brains and minds – even in adulthood – are more malleable or plastic than previously recognized.

Western Psychology’s fifth annual “Psychology: The Science of Being Human” public lecture series, titled “The Changing Mind: You are What You Think,” begins Thursday, April 4 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at London Central Library (251 Dundas Street).

Daniel Ansari, the Canada Research Chair in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience, presents “Personalizing your Brain: How Experience Shapes Brain Function” at the free event, which includes two hours of validated parking in Citi Plaza during library hours.

Thursday, April 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m.
“Our Attitudes Guide How We See the World” by James Olson

“Effective Strategies for Overcoming Depression” by David Dozois
