On October 26, Statistics Canada will release the latest data from the 2021 Census. Wednesday’s release will focus on citizenship and immigration in Canada, ethnocultural and religious populations, and mobility and migration. The following experts are available to discuss the findings:

Kate Choi

Associate Professor, Department of Sociology; Director, Centre for Research on Social Inequality

Areas of Expertise: Immigrant and refugee health, immigrant and refugee fertility, social inequality, racial and socioeconomic disparities.

Michael Haan

Associate Professor, Department of Sociology; Director, Centre for Research on Migration and Ethnic Relations

Areas of Expertise: Demographics, research on immigrant and refugee settlement.

Howard Ramos

Professor and Chair of the Department of Sociology

Areas of Expertise: Social change, social justice and equity, immigration, political sociology.
