While climate change is often talked about broadly, it is also having real-world impacts close to home. Home and property owners in flood prone regions are now facing the implications of climate-change-related flooding, including reports of lenders ending mortgages in flood zones or anticipation of increased insurance rates. Western University experts are available to discuss the risks of living in flood zones, and what can be done to mitigate the impacts and protect property.
