Gordon Osinski, director of Western’s Institute for Earth and Space Exploration (Western Space), is available to media for comment about today’s announcement that the Canadian Space Agency has signed an agreement with NASA, which provides two crew opportunities for Canadian astronauts on future Artemis missions, one to the Lunar Gateway and one on Artemis II.
Osinski says:
“Wow. This is pretty amazing. A Canadian will be on the first mission back to the Moon since 1972.”
Osinski, a renowned planetary scientist, has trained all four current Canadian astronauts in field geology in Canada and abroad.
